Through countless acts of courage- performances, protests, drag shows, potlucks, and organizing- our LGBTQ+ and allied community has shaped the culture of Nevada City. This moment has been years in the making, carried forward by those who created space, took risks, and chose to be seen. From the rich legacy of the Nisenan to David Osborn and Charles Woods’ enduring contributions, and from our first intimate Pride flag-raising to the Rainbow Walk, each step has led us here.
In these uncertain times, we invite you to gather and celebrate joy, visibility, and resilience. In a town like Nevada City, where being seen can carry real weight, Pride becomes an act of resistance.
Join us for Nevada City’s first Pride Parade, followed by a Cabaret and After Party at the Nevada Theatre- an evening of performance, expression, and celebration that carries this spirit into the night.
This parade is not just an event; it’s a continuation of a lineage, and we invite you to be part of the story.
Free Youth Tickets
Thanks to community support, a limited number of free youth tickets are available for the Nevada City Pride After Party Variety Show. Reserve yours in advance and come celebrate queer joy, creativity, and community with us at the historic Nevada Theatre.

It takes a village to make something like this happen. From parade support to behind-the-scenes magic, we’re looking for folks who want to lend a hand and be part of bringing Pride to life.
Keep the celebration going after the parade with a night of queer joy, performance, absurdity, tenderness, glamour, and community at the historic Nevada Theatre. Hosted by the wildly beloved Cloaca, this inaugural variety show brings together an eclectic lineup of local favorites and visiting artists for an evening that moves from hilarious to heartfelt and everything in between. Expect drag, music, comedy, storytelling, improvisation, and a few surprises along the way.
Whether you’re coming with friends, chosen family, or flying solo, this is a space to celebrate queer creativity and be in community together long after the parade ends. PG-13. Limited free youth tickets available thanks to community support.
