Through countless acts of courage- performances, protests, drag shows, potlucks, and organizing- our LGBTQ+ and allied community has shaped the culture of Nevada City. This moment has been years in the making, carried forward by those who created space, took risks, and chose to be seen. From the rich legacy of the Nisenan to David Osborn and Charles Woods’ enduring contributions, and from our first intimate Pride flag-raising to the Rainbow Walk, each step has led us here.
In these uncertain times, we invite you to gather and celebrate joy, visibility, and resilience. In a town like Nevada City, where being seen can carry real weight, Pride becomes an act of resistance.
Join us for Nevada City’s first Pride Parade, followed by a Cabaret and After Party at the Nevada Theatre- an evening of performance, expression, and celebration that carries this spirit into the night.
This parade is not just an event; it’s a continuation of a lineage, and we invite you to be part of the story.
